Who is responsible
GENERAL KARISM SRL, Romania, registration number CUI RO2134668, is the data controller for personal data processed through StopBrandBidding.com. Contact: support@stopbrandbidding.com.
What we collect and why
- Account data: your name, email address and Google account identifier when you sign in with Google. Used to create and secure your account (performance of our contract with you).
- Monitoring settings: the brands, domains, phone numbers, cities, devices and search words you enter. Used to run the Service (contract).
- Monitoring results: ads found on Google, including advertiser names and domains, ad text, phone numbers shown in ads, and screenshots of results pages. This is publicly displayed advertising information, processed to provide the Service to you (contract) and, for advertisers, on the basis of our and our customers' legitimate interest in protecting brands.
- Billing data: company name, billing address, tax ID and subscription details. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. Used for billing and to meet accounting and tax obligations (contract, legal obligation).
- Free checks: brand names searched with the homepage tool, the results, and how you arrived at the site (legitimate interest in running and improving our marketing).
- Usage data: pages visited and basic device information collected through Google Analytics, and server logs used for security and troubleshooting (legitimate interest).
Cookies
We use a login cookie to keep you signed in and a short-lived cookie that secures the Google sign-in process; both are strictly necessary. When you use the free check on the homepage, we store the brand name you searched, the result, how you reached the site (for example a search ad or a referring website) and a random visitor identifier in a first-party cookie for 90 days, so we can measure which marketing works and, if you later create an account, connect your earlier checks to it. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure how the site is used.
Who we share data with
We use service providers that process data on our behalf: Google (sign-in and analytics), Stripe (payments), Bright Data (fetching Google search results), and our hosting provider. We do not sell personal data. Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area; where they are, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep data
Account and monitoring data are kept while your account is active and deleted within 90 days after you close it. Screenshots older than 90 days are deleted automatically, except the first and the three most recent screenshots of each advertiser, which are kept as evidence while your account is active. You can ask us to delete any of it sooner. Billing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. You can delete brands and advertiser histories from your dashboard at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Advertisers whose information appears in our results can also contact us with requests. Write to support@stopbrandbidding.com. You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro) or the authority in your country.
Security
Data is transferred over encrypted connections, access to our servers is restricted, and payment details are handled only by Stripe.
Changes
We will post updates here and notify you by email of significant changes.
